Do Not Be That Crazy Old Cat Lady On The Hill

Very few dying people want to be a burden on those they leave behind. But every so often, there’s this crazy old cat lady on the hill. You know the one.

She has no family or friends to speak of, to, or with. She lives alone in her big old house located down a road on a wooded lot with ten cats, fends for herself, and doesn’t want anyone to worry about her; but when she got sick six weeks ago and got transported to the hospital, no one was appointed to take care of her ten cats, much less process her mail and pay her bills.

Not hearing from her after sending her past due power bills, the power company cut off her electricity, which cut off her air conditioning. Thank goodness it was spring; not too hot and not too cold. They lived off toilet water and the big bag of dry cat food their cat lady had bought the day before.

So, no kitties died. But they sure got thin and then they smelled up the place something AWWWFUL, with at least three W’s. When the litter box got full, the cats peed and pooed on every piece of furniture and bed in the house. The stench was so bad, the high-end painter’s masks we used while cleaning the place gave us almost no relief from it. And, despite two layers of Kilz on every ceiling and wall and sanding and resealing the 1950’s hardwood oak floors, all of those ceilings, walls, and floors were ruined.

All this because the crazy old cat lady on the hill never got around to having us draft and implement a LifeCycle Plan.

We can help you avoid this. Give us a call at 410-525-3476; that’s 410-LCL-FIRM.
