Own Your Life, Instead of It Owning You

Let me ask you this. Have you ever whined, “I don’t own my life; my life owns me!”? In my work as a LifeCycle counselor, I hear this a lot.

Every now and then, however, I meet someone new and I ask that person how he or she is doing and he or she responds, “I’m living the Great! life, man. Just living the Great! life.” And those are the people who often help me more than I could ever help them.

My father taught me at an early age to study people who I thought were better than me in order to become as good as I think they are and I want to be. I have intently studied people and honed my life’s philosophy since I was less than ten. As of 2018, I’ve been studying people in my business and legal careers for over four decades.

And I’m here to tell you, like I’ve told many clients before you, “You can live the Great! life just by learning how to own your own life, instead of your life owning you.”

If you are one of those who moans, “I don’t own my life; my life owns me!,” let me assure you, having felt owned by my own life at times, especially on a cold fall Monday in ’97 (more about that later), I understand quite well what you mean. You believe your life is out of control, because the facts and circumstances in which you find yourself are driving you to do things you would rather not do.

Wouldn’t you rather own and live a Great! life and create and control your own facts and circumstances and do whatever you want? Wouldn’t you rather own a Great! life instead of your worst life owning you?

Well, that is what LifeCycle law is all about. It’s about integrating your personal life with your work like and then integrating both those things with your legal life.

Meaningful personal, work, and business integration can produce Great! results that will allow you to have a joyous, peaceful, and satisfying existence.
